Designer Clare Morton has completed a kitchen renovation project in a west end flat in Glasgow, with an eye-catching HIMACS Emerald worktop, combined with more traditional units gave the best of both worlds.
The project brief was to modernise an old kitchen into a more usable space but with a bit of bling. The existing kitchen had some awkward spaces, which they overcame by making three individual, custom-made workstations.
The designer chose the Dixon range from KitCaboose Kitchens, which was then made by Three Four Five Furniture. It offers a contemporary, versatile design with added details such as peg organiser drawers and end panel peg boards. Birch plywood units were contrasted with the Emerald HIMACS worktop creating a beautifully unique kitchen.
HIMACS is the perfect material for use in the kitchen. It is hard working and very easy to maintain with just a damp cloth and mild detergent. The visually seamless joins mean there is nowhere for germs and dirt to lurk, and the colour palette ensures there is something for everyone.
